The Ostomy Care Territory Manager is responsible for achieving territory sales objectives through selling activities which include cultivating business partnerships with key decision makers, conducting product in‑services, and driving market share and sales growth. The Territory Manager will target acute care customers by selling and servicing Coloplast’s portfolio of Ostomy Care product lines. Candidates residing in Buffalo & Rochester, NY will also be considered.
MajorAreas of Accountability
- Business Acumen:
- Effectively engage all targeted accounts and develop a clear plan to achieve overall territory sales objectives.
- Develop and implement strategies to maximize territory and company objectives, including analyzing key sales and marketing data to determine the most exploitable opportunities.
- Understand the customer’s environment, key decision makers, issues and opportunities for Coloplast.
- Ensure timely advancement of the sales process with all targeted accounts achieving or exceeding the annual minimum required contract commitments.
- Understand financial business models and conduct cost/benefit analysis.
- Selling
Skills:- Demonstrate consultative selling skills to uncover customer strategy and present a value proposition including financial and clinical impact.
- Plan daily call routine to ensure appropriate coverage of key accounts given sales time allocation, potential, geographical location, and sales process development.
- Utilize all available tools to maximize sales growth, including GPO and IDN contracts, marketing directives, sales reports, and educational materials.
- Stay knowledgeable of competitive activity and sales volume in each targeted account.
- Relationship Building:
- Retain and grow business within the current customer base by identifying opportunities and formulating sales strategies.
- Develop and maintain long‑term relationships that increase product use within target accounts.
- Build productive cross‑functional relationships to share knowledge and leverage synergies within the organization.
- Clinical Knowledge and Self‑Development:
- Maintain a clear understanding of clinical and technical product knowledge.
- Understand competitive activity, products, and current market trends.
- Attend industry meetings and events for business development opportunities (e.g., UOA meetings, trade shows, WOCN meetings).
- Administrative:
- Organize and manage information using the CRM tool as directed.
- Maintain current records and complete administrative duties, including sales reporting and expense management.
- Travel as required, including overnight stays (25–50%).
- Meet healthcare customers in person and complete credentialing requirements for each facility or system.
- Possess a valid driver’s license.
- Conduct business to the highest ethical and professional standards and comply with applicable laws and company policies.
- Bachelor’s degree highly preferred with 3+ years of med tech sales experience, OR
- 2‑year associate degree with 5+ years of med tech sales experience, OR
- 7+ years of med tech sales experience

Compensation range $140,000–$165,000 with potential bonuses or incentives.
