Job Description
Parsons is hiring an experienced environmental geologist to support a range of environmental projects. The role involves field work, regulatory collaboration, and professional development toward a Geologist certification.
Key Responsibilities- Support various environmental projects to deliver effective solutions for complex environmental challenges.
- Collaborate with clients and regulatory agencies to develop and implement solutions.
- Acquire technical experience while progressing toward professional geologist certification.
- Work with senior technical personnel and project managers to achieve career development goals.
- Bachelor's Degree in Geology or a related field.
- At least 3 years of related work experience.
- Familiarity with environmental rules and regulations.
- Proficiency in written and oral communication skills.
- Strong understanding of all environmental rules and regulations.
- Experience with emerging contaminants (e.g., PFAS and 1,4-dioxane).
- Experience with sediment investigation and remediation.
- OSHA 40‑hour HAZWOPER training (or up‑to‑date refresher).
- Fundamentals of Geology certification and intent to obtain Professional Geologist licensure.

Health and Safety RequirementsThis position requires a Fit for Duty exam. Successful completion of this exam(s) is required after offer acceptance and before onboarding.
Compensation and BenefitsSalary Range: $55,300.00 – $96,800.00. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, paid time off, Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP), 401(k), life insurance, flexible work schedules, and holidays.
