Position OverviewAllied Universal is looking to hire an Assistant Account Manager. The Assistant Account Manager job is responsible for assisting the Account Manager with all supervisory, training and operations functions at the assigned post in accordance with post orders and client instructions, and following all internal procedures. A comprehensive week‑long management onboarding course is provided to support and ensure success in this role.
Ideal candidates possess previous supervisory experience in the security industry and a valid driver’s license for more than one year.
Starting salary: $76,000 per year.
Responsibilities- Assist the Account Manager with the coordination of all aspects—technical and managerial—of executing the security contract at the assigned location, assigning and directing tasks to Security Professionals.
- Serve as the first direct supervisory contact for shift supervisors or Security Professionals regarding performance, operations, and department needs; supervise, motivate, coach, and train.
- Evaluate work performance of Security Professionals and make recommendations regarding assignments.
- Ensure Post Order manual and all other training information are properly maintained and updated; maintain, clean, and organize the Post.
- Assist the Account Manager in conducting interviews and evaluating new employees; conduct on‑the‑job training in coordination with Shift Supervisors, including orientation to the post, review of post orders, routine responsibilities, and emergency responses.
- Oversee all reports, logs, and pass‑downs generated by and for the Security Department; distribute communications and other information to Security Professionals.
- Manage and supervise all sub‑units within the Security Department, such as the fire control room, command center, and loading docks; generate work orders and paperwork for extra security coverage requests as needed.
- Respond to minor incidents—both internal to Security Professionals and external to the client location—ensuring appropriate action, completing reports, and notifying relevant parties promptly.
- Identify and forward personnel problems such as payroll issues, employee relations complaints, or other concerns to the Account Manager or Field Supervisor; assist with investigations or report writing as directed.
- Make recommendations for counseling or disciplinary action, including termination; execute directed actions only with prior approval from HR management.
- Respond to client or site emergencies as they arise, ensuring communication to the Account Manager, Field Supervisor, Branch, and/or Regional Manager; maintain positive client/security relationships through frequent tenant/client contact and support.
- Occasionally perform Security Professional type duties on an as‑needed basis, but not to exceed 50% of weekly time.
- Minimum high school diploma or equivalent.
- Three to five years of professional‑level experience required; prior experience in the security industry, law enforcement, and/or military required.
- Valid state Guard License or ability to obtain one prior to employment; complete background investigation and pre‑employment drug/alcohol test; maintain active Guard License at all times and carry it on duty.
- Valid Driver’s License with at least one year of driving experience, clean driving record, and compliance with insurance requirements.
- Energetic, focused personality with initiative, ability to handle multiple assignments, strong customer service orientation, and de‑escalation skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to write concise reports and communicate effectively at all organizational levels.
- Ability to train and coach others, enforce post orders, security standards, and company policies equitably and consistently.
