Security Officer - Night Shift

Night Shift (11pm to 7:30am). The schedule includes working a weekend and holiday rotation.

A valid NYS drivers license is required.

Security Officer

We, St Joseph's Health and Trinity Health, serve together in the spirit of the Gospel as a compassionate and transforming healing presence within our communities.

Enforces security related policies and procedures to provide a safe and secure environment for all employees, visitors, patients and physical properties. Performs other duties as assigned to assist in achieving overall division and hospital goals.

NYS certification as a Security Guard required. High school graduate or equivalent. Minimum two years security experience highly desirable. College level coursework in criminal justice a definite plus, but not required. BLS/CPR certification and first aid training required.

Ability to diffuse and handle violent physical situations calmly. Excellent interpersonal skills.

Clinical and outdoor setting. Exposure Class I.

Medium work: standing, walking, sitting, lifting, carrying, pushing and pulling.

All services, medical staff, patients, visitors, contractors, vendors, various regulatory agencies.

$20.20 - $28.00. Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.
