Onsite Field Lube Technician
Milton Rents NY (a division of Milton CAT) is seeking an experienced Onsite Field Lube Technician with heavy construction equipment experience. This person will perform onsite lube services, inspections, and maintenance on machinery such as excavators, dozers, loaders, CTL'S, aerial equipment, and a vast variety of construction rental equipment. The Lube Technician will ensure the proper operational, functionality, and safety of all serviced equipment.
This position would be servicing the NY area.
Starting Pay Range: $27.50 - $37.50 per hour depending on experience.

- Perform scheduled services, including complete oil changes, fluid flushes, filter replacements, and lubrication as per OEM spec on Dozers, Excavators, CTL'S, Loaders, Aerial equipment, and a vast variety of all construction and rental equipment
- Conduct routine safety and operational inspections; interpret diagnostic codes and schematics to prevent potential mechanical early failures. Use diagnostic software and basic tools to check hydraulic, electrical, and engine systems. Conduct thorough safety and mechanical walk-arounds to identify wear, leaks, or defects. Perform ANSI regulated, and OSHA enforced AAI inspections on all aerial (MEWP) equipment.
- Troubleshoot and repair minor electrical, hydraulic, and diesel engine issues directly on-site to minimize machinery downtime.
- Keep detailed service records, track parts inventory on a service truck, and log equipment hours. Log all services, parts used, and fluid levels accurately in the maintenance tracking system. Provide service reports, oil samples, and inspection paperwork as work is performed.
- Adhere to OSHA regulations and company safety protocols. Maintain a clean, organized service truck. Record all truck inspections, fluid inventories, and follow all federal and DOT compliances. Maintain a safe working environment and observe all company and jobsite safety policies & procedures.
- 1–3 years of experience servicing heavy equipment or diesel engines.
- Strong understanding of engine, hydraulic, and electrical systems. Strong computer skills
- High school diploma required; trade school certificate or ASE certifications preferred.
- Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs. and working in outdoor, rugged environment conditions.
- Clean, Valid driver's license
- Must be able to work in a dynamic, fast-paced service environment.
- Ability to operate a service / lube truck
- Flexible to work after hours when needed to meet customer needs.
- Flexible to work delayed start of day and evening hours on occasion
