Diesel Technician – Baldwinsville, NY
Shift: 3rd Shift Sunday Night
- Thursday
Pay: $24–$33 per hour
- Follow DOT & OSHA safety procedures consistently
- Perform proper preventive maintenance
- Diagnose and repair tractor and trailer/chassis-related defects and repairs
- Examine, troubleshoot, and repair electrical and mechanical problems using standard testing procedures and computer diagnostic equipment
- Perform DOT inspection per FMCSA guidelines
- Assist in parts inventory management
- Communicate effectively with internal customers and display good customer service, oral and written communication skills
- Lift and/or pull 50 lbs or more without restriction; stand or lie for extended periods to repair equipment; move flexibly to reach equipment and parts and maneuver equipment
- Work outside in inclement weather conditions and in an environment with excessive noise and respiratory hazards without restriction
- Valid driver’s license
- Preferred ability to obtain a Class B license
- Technical or advanced degree or equivalent maintenance experience
- Ability to learn windows‑based computer systems
Diagnostic and troubleshooting competency relating to equipment repairs & maintenance - Demonstrated problem‑solving skills
- Examples of teamwork and customer service skills, including good oral and written communication skills
