HVAC Service Technician
The Commercial Service Technician is responsible for the maintenance and repair of HVAC systems, utilizing their knowledge of refrigeration theory, electrical schematics, pneumatic and electronic control systems, pipe fitting, welding/brazing, and mechanical layouts. Service technicians work on a range of equipment, from window air conditioning units to chillers, boilers, and rooftop units, in various settings such as bars, restaurants, offices, retail spaces, and more.
Responsibilities- Perform maintenance and repair of HVAC systems.
- Utilize knowledge of refrigeration theory and electrical schematics.
- Operate pneumatic and electronic control systems effectively.
- Conduct pipe fitting and welding/brazing tasks.
- Read and interpret mechanical layouts and blueprints.
- Work on various HVAC equipment including chillers, boilers, and rooftop units.
- Service HVAC systems in commercial and industrial buildings.
- 3+ years of Commercial/Industrial HVAC Service experience with Refrigeration.
- Proficient electrical and mechanical diagnostic skills.
- Ability to read blueprints and schematics.
- OSHA 10 and EPA 608 (Universal) Certification.

Work hours are from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday through Friday. Technicians will be required to be on‑call once every six weeks, from Monday 4:30 PM to Monday 7:30 AM, with compensation for any hours worked during on‑call shifts. The work involves servicing various commercial and industrial buildings.
Job Type & LocationPermanent position based out of Syracuse, NY.
PayThe pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr.
