Facilities Maintenance Technician
The Facilities Maintenance Technician will be responsible for conducting preventive maintenance tasks including checking amps, voltages, and performing temperature tests. The technician will clean and service existing units such as walk‑in coolers, freezers, and condensers. They will collaborate with commercial clients to diagnose issues and execute normal preventive maintenance checklists as provided by the service field. The role involves working on mechanical and HVAC equipment without the need for EPA certification.
The technician will be required to be on call once every six weeks.
- Conduct preventive maintenance tasks on mechanical systems.
- Check amps, voltages, and run temperature tests.
- Diagnose and spot air/fuel problems in commercial equipment.
- Clean and service walk‑in coolers, freezers, and condensers.
- Work directly with commercial clients for troubleshooting and maintenance.
- Follow normal PM checklist as provided by the service field.
- Be on call once every six weeks.
- 1+ years of experience in commercial and industrial preventive maintenance on mechanical systems.
- OSHA 10 Certification.
- Valid driver's license.
- Knowledge of electrical systems including amps, voltage regulation, and pumps.
Skills & Qualifications
- Mechanical aptitude.
- Experience in service and maintenance of compressors.

Work EnvironmentThe work schedule is from 7:30 am to 4:00 pm, Monday through Friday, with an on‑call requirement every six weeks from Monday 4:30 pm to the following Monday 7:30 am. The technician will work in various commercial and industrial buildings, ensuring a dynamic and varied work environment.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Permanent position based out of Syracuse, NY.
