GD Mobile Truck Repair Inc is looking for a skilled Mobile Fleet Technician to join our team in Syracuse, NY! This is a hands‑on, road‑based role where you’ll bring expert diesel and fleet repairs directly to our customers — keeping trucks rolling and businesses moving. Responsibilities:- Perform on‑site diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on commercial trucks and fleet vehicles
- Troubleshoot diesel engines, electrical systems, brakes, and drivetrain components
- Conduct preventive maintenance services including oil changes, filter replacements, and inspections
- Respond to roadside service calls and emergency breakdowns in a timely manner
- Maintain accurate service records and document all repairs and parts used
- Manage and stock mobile service vehicle with necessary tools, parts, and equipment
- Communicate repair findings and recommendations clearly to customers and dispatch
- Proven experience as a diesel mechanic, fleet technician, or heavy‑duty truck technician
- Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, electrical systems, and brake systems
- Ability to work independently in a mobile, field‑based environment
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (CDL preferred)
- Own a basic set of professional mechanic's tools
- Strong diagnostic and problem‑solving skills under pressure
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work flexible hours, including potential on‑call or weekend availability
