Field Engineer (Field Service) – Syracuse, NY
Full-Time Temporary Position | Up to 75% Travel | $26 - $28 per hour

Are you a hands-on technical professional who enjoys troubleshooting complex equipment, working directly with customers, and solving problems in the field? We're seeking a Field Engineer to provide installation, maintenance, technical support, and operator training for advanced digital printing equipment throughout the region.
This is an excellent opportunity for experienced Field Service Engineers, Service Technicians, Electronics Technicians, Mechanical Technicians, or Industrial Equipment Specialists looking to grow their careers in a customer-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities- Install, commission, and optimize digital printing equipment at customer sites.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, software, and print-quality issues.
- Perform preventive maintenance, upgrades, calibrations, and system inspections.
- Provide on-site and remote technical support to ensure maximum equipment uptime.
- Deliver customer onboarding, operator training, and production ramp-up support.
- Coach users on equipment operation, maintenance best practices, troubleshooting, workflow, and quality control.
- Utilize advanced diagnostic tools to identify issues and improve service efficiency.
- Maintain accurate service records, documentation, and technical reports.
- Partner with internal teams to ensure a positive customer experience.
- Technical degree or diploma in Electronics, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Technology, or related field.
- 3+ years of field service, equipment maintenance, or technical support experience.
- Strong troubleshooting skills involving mechanical, electrical, and software systems.
- Knowledge of AC/DC electrical circuits and diagnostic testing tools.
- Excellent communication, customer service, and training skills.
- Ability to travel up to 75%.
