Maintenance Mechanic I

Full-time

3rd Shift – 9:15 pm‑5:45 am, Sunday – Thursday

• Perform basic mechanical repairs to facility equipment, including troubleshooting process equipment or building/equipment that are not functioning properly.
• Assist in installing or modifying new and existing production and facility equipment, including running pipe and conduit, cleaning and maintaining equipment.
• Conduct preventive maintenance inspections of the facility and equipment; perform more detailed inspections with assistance.
• Perform moderate‑difficulty PMs as instructed and basic fabrication using welding, cutting, and pipe‑threading equipment.
• Weld plastic tanks.
• Use basic fabrication tools and equipment.

• Knowledge of maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of facility electrical and mechanical systems including heating, ventilation, chilling/cooling, compressed air, water supply, and plating equipment.
• Ability to read and understand electrical and mechanical blueprints.
• Ability to lay out electrical and plumbing jobs and develop required material lists.
• Ability to drive a tow motor.
• Ability to operate and work from ladders and manlifts.
• Maintain safe, neat, orderly work and storage areas; exhibit safe, neat, clean work habits.
• Communicate with coworkers, management team members, and other individuals in a courteous and professional manner.
• Work with minimal supervision.
• Interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
• Effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, coworkers, and other individuals.
• Minimum of 5 years of industrial maintenance or electrical experience.
• Basic math and computer skills.
• Comprehend verbal and written instructions.
• Give simple verbal and written instructions to others.
• Interact effectively with co‑workers.
• Prepare simple written reports.
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• Understanding of basic maintenance functions and/or surface painting.
• Pre‑employment drug testing and background screening required.
