Commercial Plumbing Foreman
AP Plumbing is seeking a Commercial Plumbing Foreman for their Syracuse, NY location. This position will oversee plumbing installation and related activities on high-volume multi-family building projects, such as large apartment communities, townhomes, and mixed-use family developments. This is a hands-on leadership role that requires strong technical plumbing knowledge combined with excellent team management and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities:
- Lead a team of journeyman plumbers, apprentices, and subcontractors on active construction sites
- Ensure all installations (rough-in, top-out, fixtures, underground, gas lines, etc.) comply with plumbing codes, blueprints, and project specifications
- Conduct regular pre and post-project site inspections and quality control checks
- Coordinate with other trades (electrical, HVAC, general contractors) to avoid conflicts and maintain workflow efficiency
- Identify and resolve field issues, change orders, and technical problems promptly
- Train and mentor plumbing crew members
- Interface with inspectors, clients, and project managers regarding progress and compliance
- Ensure proper testing (pressure, leak, etc.) and commissioning of plumbing systems
Job Qualifications:
- Minimum high school diploma or equivalent required, plumbing trade school or apprenticeship program preferred
- Minimum 5 years of commercial plumbing experience, with a strong background in multi-family projects
- Proven foreman or lead experience managing crews of 5-15+ preferred
- Current journeyman or master plumbing license preferred
- Strong knowledge of multi-unit rough-ins, top-outs, fixture installations, and backflow prevention
- Proven ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record required
- OSHA certification preferred

- Strong leadership & management skills
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities under pressure
- Effective verbal and written communication
- Proficient in using construction management software (e.g., Procore, Plan Grid) and Microsoft Office
- Knowledge of safety regulations (OSHA 30 preferred)
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and lift up to 75lbs
The starting pay range for this position is $/hr. This is the range of the base pay only, it does not include other components that make up the total compensation package of the position. If offered a position, your total compensation package will be determined by experience, location, skills, and/or education which may result in a total compensation package that falls outside of the provided range.
