Maintenance Repair Technician (CNC)
Eaton's ES GEIS CHD division is currently seeking a Maintenance Repair Technician (CNC) for the 2nd shift. This position is based at our Syracuse, New York facility with core hours of 2:30pm to 11:00pm. The hourly rate for this position is $40.51/hour + $1.50/hour shift premium.
What You'll Do:- Tear down, determine extent of troubles, repair damaged electrical or mechanical mechanism or replace worn or defective parts and reassemble following standard and prescribed safety regulations.
- Need a basic understanding of PLC logic and machine programming (Mcode/Gcode)
- Adjust equipment to required specification and check to assure effective operation.
- Check sequence of machine cycle, determine type of machine malfunction, make all necessary repairs applying machine repair theory along with electrical theory.
- Perform electrical test operations.
- Work from complex schematic diagrams, manuals and testing procedures.
- Troubleshoot all defective printed circuit assembly boards.
- Perform similar or associated electrical or mechanical duties as directed.
- Detect and report all unusual cases to proper supervision.
- Use of judgment to comply with instructions or prescribed routines and to make decisions.
Required (Basic) Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) certificate.
- Eaton will not consider applicants for employment immigration sponsorship or support for this position.
- No relocation benefit is offered for this position. Only candidates residing within the immediate geographic area (50 miles) of Syracuse, NY will be considered for this position.
- 2-year degree in electronics or electrical technology or experiential equivalent
- 5 years of experience in NC and CNC repair
- Industrial mechanical background
Preferred Qualifications
- 5 years of PLC experience in troubleshooting
- Journeyman certification or educational equivalent
- Additional educational or vocational training is a plus but not required
