Lead Field Service Fire Technician
As a Lead Field Service Fire Technician, you will be responsible for leading service, troubleshooting, maintenance, inspections, commissioning, and technical support activities for fire alarm systems across commercial, industrial, healthcare, education, and mission-critical customer sites throughout the Syracuse, NY region. You will serve as the technical leader for complex service activities, mentor junior technicians, coordinate field execution, and work directly with customers to ensure system reliability, code compliance, and operational excellence while delivering exceptional customer service.
In this role, you will lead inspections, repairs, commissioning, upgrades, and acceptance testing of fire alarm systems and related life safety equipment, ensuring all work is completed in accordance with Honeywell standards, NFPA codes, local AHJ requirements, and customer expectations.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead service, maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting, and repair activities
- Diagnose complex fire alarm issues
- Lead commissioning and acceptance testing
- Mentor technicians
- Complete reports
- Coordinate with PMs, AHJs and customers
- Ensure NFPA/OSHA compliance
- Participate in on-call support
YOU MUST HAVE
- HS Diploma/GED
- 3 or more years fire alarm field service
- 3 or more years commercial/industrial systems
- Valid driver's license
- 3 or more years customer-facing experience
- Knowledge of NFPA 72 and OSHA

- NICET I required; II or III preferred or willing to get certified within 90 days

The annual base salary range for this position is $69,700 - $87,350 mid. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline. Honeywell considers various factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate's work experience, education and training, key skills as well as market and business considerations.
