At Alliance Laundry Systems Distribution, we help businesses keep their operations running smoothly. As our Service Specialist for the Utica, NY territory, you’ll be dispatched from home to keep commercial washers, dryers, and ironers performing at their best—strengthening customer relationships with every visit.

Your impact

Restore uptime for commercial laundry equipment across gyms, hospitals, motels, and other businesses

Deliver clear, professional communication that builds trust and loyalty

Elevate team outcomes through tight coordination with service management, parts, and vendors

Core responsibilities

Troubleshoot and repair on‑premise and vended laundry equipment

Install and validate replacement parts

Record service time, materials used, and detailed work notes

Log travel activities, including mileage and fuel purchases

Maintain tools, test gear, and a company‑supplied service vehicle

Assist with equipment deliveries and installations as needed

Support additional tasks that drive efficient department operations

Required background

High school diploma or equivalent2+ years of mechanical repair experience (laundry experience a plus; equivalent education/training/experience considered)
Working knowledge of electrical test instruments and diagnostic/programming tools

Preferred: customer support experience using phone, email, and ticketing/dispatch systems

Comfort reading electrical and mechanical drawings/schematics

Strong organization; can juggle competing priorities and deadlines

Professional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication

Computer literacy; MS Outlook, Word, and Excel preferred

Travel

Substantial travel within the assigned Utica, NY territory

Some overnight travel during special projects

Physical and license requirements

Regularly: sit, stand, walk, kneel, squat, stoop, bend, climb; fine manual dexterity

Frequently: lift/carry/push/pull up to 50 lbs.; heavier items use assistive devices

Ability to talk/hear; frequent hand use for tools/controls; computer‑based tasks requiring close vision and focus adjustment

Valid driver’s license and a clean MVR; company vehicle may be provided

For New York the base compensation range for this role starts at $23.00 per hour. Actual compensation is influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to skills, experience, qualifications, and geographic location.
