Skill Builder's Youth Support Specialist
Part-time, up to 29 hours per week with a starting rate of pay at $23.00 per hour!
Allows for flexibility in your weekly schedule and qualifies for PTO benefits.
There are multiple Skill Builder positions available in our growing program! Being a skill builder is a great opportunity for anyone passionate about helping others and interested in starting a career in human services, especially working with kids and families. Skill Builders provide individualized mental health support services to children and youth (ages 0–21) with emotional or behavioral challenges. Services are delivered in the community — such as in the home, school, or other natural settings — to help youth and families build skills, manage symptoms, and function successfully in their daily lives.
Monthly productivity incentive provided for qualifying providers.
- Minimum of high school diploma, GED or technical school.
- At least 2 years of experience working with children or youth.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and access to a reliable private transportation that meets Salvation Army insurance requirements.
