About the Client
A 61-year-old female in the Syracuse area is looking for a Direct Support Professional to assist her with household tasks, money management, and community activities.
ResponsibilitiesAssisting the client with household tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and organizing pre-prepared meals.
Assisting the client with budgeting and money management.
Programing participation in community activities including bowling, lunch with friends, seasonal events, card games, crafts, YMCA visits, and swimming.
Traveling to different locations as needed.
Scheduling and coordinating local free events.
Providing companionship and support during seated periods.
Schedule:
9 a.m.
- 2 p.m., Saturday and Sunday (fill-in position until April).
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Must have a valid New York State driver's license and reliable transportation with proof of auto insurance.
- Effective communication and organizational skills.
- Flexible with assignments and schedule.
- Experience working with people with developmental disabilities is preferred.
- Must have technology available to download multiple apps for use in the community and abide by ARISE/EFR technology policy.
- Ability to work independently in the client's home and/or community.
- Willingness to assist with household tasks, money management, and community activities.
