What You'll Do

As Assistant Residence Manager, you'll partner with the Residence Manager to ensure the smooth day-to-day operation of the residence while supporting both residents and staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in overseeing daily residential operations to maintain a safe, comfortable, and welcoming home
  • Support, coach, and motivate team members to deliver high-quality care and services
  • Help coordinate staffing schedules and ensure appropriate coverage
  • Promote the health, safety, dignity, and well-being of residents
  • Encourage community participation and meaningful recreational activities
  • Uphold person-centered practices and the agency's commitment to individualized support
  • Maintain accurate documentation, records, and communication logs
  • Assist with household maintenance needs and coordinate repairs as necessary
  • Serve as a positive leader and role model, fostering teamwork and excellence
Required Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Valid New York State driver's license with an acceptable driving record
Preferred Qualifications
  • 2–3 years of related experience in residential services, human services, healthcare, or a similar field
  • Previous leadership, supervisory, or team coordination experience
  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem‑solving skills
  • Passion for supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities
