Direct Support Professional BH-RB

Location: City of Syracuse

1.1 Part-Time Support Staff Needed –Syracuse, NY (BH-RB)
We are seeking a compassionate and dynamic Direct Support Professional to support a 37-year-old individual in the Syracuse area. This role focuses on enhancing having more friends, to be more involved in the community, and skills for independent living.

This Individual enjoys music, DJ’ing, and going to music stores. He also has a DJ set up that he enjoys using. He is also a great artist who takes pride in his work; he enjoys drawing older rappers and singers.

This ideal candidate is creative, artist and loves music. This ideal candidate should be willing to attend music events and concerts and willing to discuss and facilitate individuals’ interest and likes regarding music icons.

This is a part-time position, but additional hours are available with other people receiving services at the agency

Hours and days of work:
Friday 4pm-7pmStarting pay:
Starting pay is $19.25/hour and increases with years of relevant experience.

Qualifications:

· Must be at least 18 years old.
· Ability to work independently in the person’s home and/or community.
· Reliable with effective communication and organizational skills
· No experience required but experience working with people with disabilities preferred.
· New York State Driver's license, reliable transportation, and proof of auto insurance is required; acceptable driving record required.
· Must have technology available to download multiple apps for use in the community.

Must have a valid driver's license

Must be at least 18 years old Effective communication and organizational skills required.

Flexibility with assignments and schedule required.

Reliable transportation to arrive to job site at scheduled time.

Experience working with people with Developmental Disabilities preferred.

Must have technology available to download multiple apps for use in the community and abide by Indera's technology policy.
