Software Engineer, Software Testing
Akkodis is seeking a Software Engineer in Test contract job with a client in Syracuse NY. Must hold a Bachelors in Computer Science to be considered. Will be responsible for taking existing test protocols and execute them against product. Additionally, as any errors are identified you will record exact findings and where necessary duplicate the issue for others on the team so that the error may be further evaluated and fixed.
You’ll work closely with developers and QA team members to ensure applications are thoroughly tested and production ready.
Rate Range: $25/hr. to $30/hr the rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
Software Engineer in Test responsibilities include:- Provide technical assessment of product software requirements
- Develop detailed test plans and protocols based on the requirements
- Execute tests on medical devices and applications developed in-house
- Debug and document test issues
- Work alongside software engineers to understand requirements and acceptance criteria
- Identify, document, and track software defects through resolution
- Participate in test case reviews and contribute to improving automation frameworks
- Work with design teams to troubleshoot, root cause, and resolve product issues
- Design, plan, establish and optimize wireless test networks used in the development and test of medical devices
- Utilize hardware and software tools in the testing of medical devices and test networks
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science is required.
- Minimum Two years related experience.
- Experience in product testing is required.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Willingness to work on-site in Syracuse, NY
