Back End Python Developer

As this fast‑growing startup expands its services and deepens its integrations, we're seeking a Backend Developer to join our NYC-based engineering team. This role is instrumental in building and enhancing our platform to ensure we consistently deliver high value to our users and business partners. • Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend software in collaboration with fellow engineers.
• Participate in system design and architectural discussions.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve complex platform-wide issues.
• Work cross-functionally with customer success, support, and business stakeholders to achieve company goals.
• Introduce new technologies, tools, or frameworks when beneficial.

• 5+ years developing high‑performance distributed systems with strong coding standards and engineering practices.
• Expert in Python with deep computer science fundamentals.
  
  Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS) and relational databases (e.g., Postgre
  
  SQL) required. Knowledge of Java is a plus.
• Proven problem‑solving skills and the ability to propose solutions‑not just surface issues.
• Able to lead projects end‑to‑end with autonomy and accountability.
• Strong commitment to clear, thorough documentation.

• Work directly with teammates and partners to build and deploy secure, production‑ready code.
• Champion a culture of engineering quality throughout the development lifecycle.
