Job Description About the Role

We are seeking a People Soft Application Developer to support and enhance enterprise administrative systems across People Soft Campus Solutions, Human Capital Management (HCM), and Financials/Supply Chain Management (FSCM).

This position is responsible for designing, developing, testing, deploying, and supporting People Soft application enhancements, integrations, upgrades, and required system updates. The developer will collaborate with technical teams, functional analysts, and business stakeholders to translate operational requirements into reliable, maintainable technical solutions.

The role also supports People Soft Update Manager (PUM) activities, People Tools and application upgrades, redevelopment efforts, production troubleshooting, and initiatives to reduce unnecessary customizations through adoption of delivered People Soft functionality.

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and support People Soft application changes, enhancements, integrations, and required updates.
• Develop People Soft solutions using People Code, Application Designer, Application Engine, SQL, SQR, Component Interfaces, Application Packages, and Page and Field Configurator (PFC).
• Support enterprise applications across People Soft Campus Solutions, HCM, and FSCM.
• Develop and maintain integrations using People Soft Integration Broker, SOAP/web services, REST APIs, and file-based integration patterns.
• Develop and support applications using the People Soft Fluid UI framework.
• Collaborate with functional analysts and business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical designs and implementation plans.
• Prepare effort estimates, technical design documentation, unit test plans, deployment documentation, and other required technical deliverables.
• Follow established software development lifecycle practices for development, testing, deployment, change management, and production support.
• Participate in People Soft Update Manager (PUM) image reviews, update applications, and regression testing.
• Perform redevelopment activities associated with People Soft application and People Tools upgrades.
• Analyze compare reports, evaluate application impacts, and resolve conflicts involving customized People Soft components.
• Perform PUM compare/merge resolution and support testing of affected functionality.
• Evaluate delivered People Soft functionality and identify opportunities to reduce or eliminate unnecessary customizations.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production application issues in collaboration with technical teams, functional teams, and external technology vendors.
• Participate in scheduled off-hours or on-call production support for critical incidents as required.
• Develop and support Oracle database queries and enterprise application data solutions using SQL and related development tools.
• Support reporting and analytical solutions using People Soft Query, BI Publisher, nVision, Tableau, Power BI, or similar technologies.
• Apply appropriate data integration approaches across enterprise applications, including APIs, web services, and file-based interfaces.
• Use version control and established application lifecycle practices to manage development changes.
• Apply AI-enabled tools to process mapping, requirements gathering, documentation, workflow analysis, and other business or functional analysis activities.
• Use AI-assisted capabilities to accelerate documentation, identify process gaps, support stakeholder communication, and reduce manual effort where appropriate.
• Identify opportunities to apply AI capabilities to improve business processes and enterprise application outcomes.
• Stay current with People Soft development tools, PUM image releases, cloud technologies, and emerging enterprise application capabilities.
• Participate in peer code reviews, technical knowledge sharing, and mentoring of colleagues.
• Contribute to consistent development, testing, documentation, and deployment practices across the team.

Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience.

• Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in application development, enterprise systems, or enterprise computing technology.
• Experience working within or alongside enterprise application or ERP environments.
• Experience developing and supporting Oracle People Soft 9.2 applications using People Tools 8.58 or later is preferred.
• Experience supporting one or more People Soft pillars, including Campus Solutions, HCM, and Financials/Supply Chain Management, is preferred.
• Experience with People Soft PUM updates, bundle applications, compare/merge activities, redevelopment, and regression testing is preferred.
• Experience supporting complex, business-critical enterprise administrative systems in a large organizational environment is preferred.
