The Spirit of the Position:
The Shuttle Driver position is responsible for the effective, efficient and safe transportation, loading and unloading of passengers & employees to and from the airport terminal and employee parking, and to ensure that all activities support the safety and welfare of all passengers.
Responsibilities- Reliable and punctual attendance is paramount to this position.
- Works well with others and is a strong team player.
- Greet customers, be responsive and timely with correspondence and problem resolution, display a caring attitude, and develop a rapport with all passengers.
- Assist passengers with baggage handling as appropriate; offer to lift and carry baggage onto the shuttle or luggage trailer for storage.
- Anticipate guest needs wherever possible and demonstrate a sincere desire to meet or exceed them.
- Provide general information about the local area to passengers.
- Work with and without supervision and follow the direction of supervisors when requested.
- Promote good customer relations by providing premier customer satisfaction with a friendly demeanor and can-do attitude.
- Provide daily transportation for passengers to and from destinations.
- Perform pre- and post-inspection activities to ensure proper operating conditions and compliance with Company & DOT standards.
- Assist passengers during boarding and exiting the vehicle; operate equipment for passengers with special needs (e.g., wheelchair lifts and tie-downs).
- Provide directions and information about parking services and fees and assist guests with arrival and departure points.
- Prepare and submit accident/incident reports in a timely manner.
- Perform daily/routine cleaning and shuttle maintenance; maintain neat appearance and uniforms.
- Handle funds carefully and report lost articles.
- Conduct fueling activities and maintain fuel usage logs.
- Comply with Federal DOT requirements, State driving regulations, and airport safety rules and procedures.
- Establish and maintain effective communication with passengers, co-workers, supervisors, and managers.
- Use two-way radio to communicate with dispatch and/or supervisor.
- Report accidents, problems, and shuttle information in a timely manner.
- Keep the shuttle bus secure and follow safety procedures.
- Remain alert to activity and take appropriate action as needed; adhere to safety codes and OSHA standards.
- Respond to guest inquiries and resolve service or customer discrepancies respectfully.
- Perform other related duties and tasks as assigned.
- Have at least 2 years of licensed driving experience
- Reliable transportation to and from work
- Ability to communicate professionally and convey information effectively

- Ability to speak, read, and comprehend English
- Ability to work flexible shifts/hours (days, evenings, weekends, holidays), including overtime

- Lift, push and pull at least 50 pounds
- Stand, walk and sit for extended periods up to 8 hours
- Drive continuously for a minimum of 2-3 hours

- Apply manual pressure as needed; perform repetitive motions
