Position Overview

Ryder is hiring a NON CDL Truck Driver in Syracuse, NY — offering weekly pay, excellent benefits, and a driving career you can feel good about.

• Driver Positions Pay Weekly
• Hours Per Week: 40 + additional hours per week
• Solo Miles Pay: $0.40 per Mile
• Solo Stops Pay: $12.00 per Stop
• Paid Training
• Schedule:
  
  Monday – Friday, no weekends
• Start Time: 6:00 AM – 7:00 AM

• Duty Type:
  Deliver SOLO to 120 mile radius of Syracuse
• Route:
  Local Home Daily
• Truck Type:
  Box Truck – 16’, 22’ & 26’
• Equipment:
  Pallet Jack, Lift Gate & Hand Truck
• Training on equipment provided by Ryder
• Freight:
  Touch – Auto Parts

• Medical, Dental & Vision after 30 days
• 80 hours PTO first year, starting Day 1 (use it or get paid for it)

• Minimum 21 years of age
• Minimum of 6 months of verifiable driving experience
• Must have verifiable driving experience (if position applied for is operating a straight truck or box truck)
• 6 months experience in the past 3 years, OR
• 2 years’ experience within the last 5 years, OR
• 5 years’ experience within the last 10 years
• Pass a Ryder Background and Motor vehicle check including drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years
• Pass a DOT physical
• Pass a Ryder road test
• Must have a valid driver’s license
• Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
• Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies and/or procedures
• Pass a Ryder Drug Test

• This position is primarily responsible for safely driving a vehicle and complying with safety regulations, continuous training, and customer service.
• Ensuring compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines.
• Detecting and eliminating or minimizing safety hazards.
• Maintaining accurate records, loading/unloading freight or assisting in the loading/unloading of freight if required by customer.
• Other tasks as assigned.
