Flatbed Driver (Non-CDL)
Responsible for delivering products and materials on a timely basis to job sites, as well as, for loading and unloading trucks, and providing supervision/direction to laborers as needed.
Drive trucks from the facility to designated job sites safely and in a timely manner.
Load and unload building materials on and off trucks and carry materials onto job sites.
Keep mileage logs as necessary.
Ability to follow directions from dispatcher/branch management.
Ability to convey directions and work effectively with a partner.
Operate forklifts periodically.
Use personal protective equipment as required.
Responsible for care and maintenance of assigned vehicle.
Ensure that company policies and procedures are adhered to.
Notify branch management immediately on any unsafe loading condition.
Other miscellaneous duties as assigned by management.
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
Some schooling is preferred.
Must possess a valid Driver's License.
Must also obtain a clean driving history record.
Will experience frequent standing, sitting, walking, bending, climbing, reaching, pushing, and pulling.
Frequently experience lifting and carrying objects including overhead lifting (weights will vary from 50 to 150 pounds).
Dexterity to manipulate and utilize equipment on an as needed basis.
Obtain visual acuity.
Will be exposed to environmental surroundings – e.g. dust and varying temperatures.
