Light Truck Driver

Syracuse Banana is seeking a dedicated and EXPERIENCED light truck driver to join our Syracuse, NY team. The ideal candidate must have experience in box truck, route, and delivery driving. Applicants should possess excellent customer service skills. This position involves driving various box trucks and requires the ability to handle heavy lifting. All vehicles are automatic.

• This position works five days per week, never on Sundays,
• Days start at 3 a.m.
• Safely drive trucks to transport and deliver food products,
• Load and unload cargo,
• Follow specific routes and time schedules,
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections,
• Use our software to ensure proper logs of your work,
• Provide excellent customer service.
• Starting wage $19. At the conclusion of the 60-day probationary period, there will be an increase.

• Valid and clean driver's license (NON-CDL/CDL);
• Must have an active DOT Medical Card;
• Must have box truck, delivery driving experience;
• Ability to operate a pallet jack and other unloading equipment;
• Proficient in route driving and navigation;
• Strong physical stamina for lifting;

• Proven experience in safe commercial driving -- CDL not required.
• Familiarity with operating box trucks and making deliveries to various addresses.
• Ability to lift objects and perform physical tasks.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Knowledge of safe driving practices and traffic laws.

Knowledge of seafood handling a plus.
