DOT Delivery Driver

Kovalsky‑Carr Electric Supply Co. is a trusted electrical distributor operating under United Electric Supply Co. since 2024. The company is 100% employee‑owned and serves commercial, residential and industrial customers in New Castle, Delaware with a full range of electrical products and services.

As a member of the warehouse team, you will ensure safe, efficient, and timely delivery of materials to customer job sites. This DOT‑regulated driving role requires a strong commitment to safety, compliance, and responsible driving practices. In addition to operating company vehicles, you will assist with loading, unloading, staging and preparing materials for delivery, directly influencing operational excellence and customer satisfaction.

• Load truck/van for deliveries, ensuring correct and secure placement of materials.
• Create shipping manifests for all deliveries.
• Record mileage, expenses, and vehicle inspections before and after trips.
• Observe all safety regulations while operating up to a 26’ box truck.
• Receive and inspect incoming materials, verifying return merchandise authorization (RMA) against actual items and checking for defects.
• Use RF guns to stock shelves and pull material for current orders, back‑orders, will calls, and inter‑branch transfers, ensuring correct quantity and specifications.
• Pack and ship materials in designated cartons per customer order and procedures.
• Hang reels of wire in the designated area and cut wire to customer specification for counter, will call, and other sales orders when needed.
• Post purchase orders and related data into the computer system.
• Identify and report problems to the supervisor as needed.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

• May be required to operate powered industrial trucks.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs. several times a day, bend, twist, and climb.
• Adhere to all United Electric health, safety, and environmental policies.
• Act safely and positively at all times to protect yourself and others.
• Complete an accident/incident report for any safety or health infractions that occur or are witnessed.

• Follow all United Electric health, safety, and environmental policies.
• Maintain a safe and positive work environment and ensure others are not put at risk.
• Report accidents or incidents promptly.
• Support the safety policies for all employees within the branch.

• Must work Monday through Friday, 6 a.m.‑3 p.m.
• Minimum high school diploma.
• 1‑2 years of box‑truck delivery driving experience (CDL not required); a DOT physical will be required and the employer will cover the cost.
