General Laborer; Syracuse, NY

Job Summary

Join our dynamic support team as a General Laborer — Support Staff, where your energy and dedication will keep our facilities running smoothly and efficiently! In this vital role, you will assist with a variety of cleaning, maintenance, and custodial tasks across commercial, residential, and industrial settings. Your proactive approach and attention to detail will ensure our work environments are safe, clean, and welcoming for everyone.

• Drive and operate DOT-regulated trucks to transport construction debris, waste, and recyclable materials.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and complete all required inspection reports.
• Load and unload construction materials, debris, and trash by hand or with equipment.
• Remove waste from active construction, demolition, and renovation sites.
• Ensure all loads are properly secured and transported safely.
• Follow all federal, state, and local DOT regulations, including Hours of Service and safety requirements.
• Deliver debris to approved landfills, transfer stations, or recycling facilities.
• Assist with site cleanup, sweeping, and organizing materials.
• Operate hand tools and equipment such as shovels, wheelbarrows, and brooms.
• Communicate with dispatch, supervisors, and customers regarding schedules and job progress.
• Adhere to all company safety policies and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Current DOT Medical Examiner’s Certificate.
• Ability to pass DOT drug and alcohol screening and background checks.
• Previous construction, demolition, waste removal, or labor experience preferred.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations and safe driving practices.
