Operations is responsible for materials handling and product distribution in a distribution or manufacturing environment. It includes warehousing and fulfillment of materials and products, transportation, inventory management as well as demand, supply, and manufacturing planning. Warehouse Operations is responsible for performing/controlling a combination of manual or automated tasks necessary for the receipt, storage, and shipment of product. This may include functions of receiving, picking, packing, shipping, staging, transporting, storage, delivery, etc.
The team also ensures efficient flow of products from vendor receipt to shipment to internal and external customers.
The Associate II, Warehouse Ops assists on inbound or outbound activities as requested by the Warehouse Supervisor, meeting quality, safety, productivity, and operational standards. This role receives products in the inbound section and ships products in the outbound section.
Shift/Schedule40 hours weekly – First Shift / Day Shift: Tuesday through Saturday, 7:00am to 3:30pm. Must work until tasks are completed and be flexible to work other hours or days if needed.
Responsibilities- Unload trucks in the inbound section using a pallet jack or equivalent devices to put pallets out of trucks.
- Use the Warehouse Management System to check in products.
- Follow regulations for storing refrigerated specialty products when applicable.
- Store products in warehouse locations using an order picker or other devices.
- Pick products from warehouse locations and load them into outbound trucks.
- One to two years of experience (preferred).
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience (preferred).
- Ability to bend, reach, lift, and stand for an entire shift.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Comfortable working at heights of 20‑30ft regularly.
Applicants should apply basic knowledge and skills to complete standard tasks, learn and apply new information, maintain appropriate licenses and certifications, work on routine assignments with some problem resolution, and adhere to all quality guidelines. Work is supervised at a moderate degree, with regular review of output by a work lead or supervisor. Complex or unusual problems are referred to a supervisor.
