Job Summary

The Warehouse Worker receives, stores, and issues materials, supplies and equipment. Maintains warehouse supplies and materials.

Job Description SPECEFIC JOB RESPONIBILITES
  • Receives, stores and issues materials, supplies and equipment
  • Sets priorities and dates for outgoing deliveries
  • Checks incoming materials, equipment, and supplies for conformity to purchase orders and specifications
  • Inspects orders for quantity, quality, damages and other discrepancies
  • Reports shortages, damages, and other discrepancies as needed
  • Packs and crates equipment and supplies for shipment to vendors of returns, over shipments, damaged shipments and goods to be repaired; completes and maintains memo file for shipping; notifies vendor of pickups for retuned items.
  • Assists with the layout of the warehouse storeroom
  • Prepares inventory control slips and posts control numbers to equipment
  • Use manual material-handling tools (e.g., carts, dollies, pallet jacks) as trained
  • Work cooperatively with material handlers and supervisors
  • Follow directions and respond to changing priorities
  • Communicate issues or delays promptly
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
  • 0-2 years of experience in a warehouse or shipping/receiving environment
  • High School Diploma
  • Requires limited job knowledge of systems and procedures. Follows basic work routines and standards
  • Does not require advanced education and requires little to no prior experience
