Civil Designer

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Civil Designer to join our growing team. In this role, you will work closely with Project Engineers and Project Managers to develop engineering design plans, construction documents, and technical specifications. The ideal candidate has strong technical skills in AutoCAD Civil 3D
, a solid understanding of commercial land development, and a passion for solving site, grading, and utility challenges.

• Utilize AutoCAD Civil 3D to create detailed site layouts, grading plans, utility designs (water, sanitary sewer, storm drain), and erosion control plans.
• Develop 3D surface models to calculate earthwork cut-and-fill quantities and optimize site grading.
• Prepare horizontal and vertical alignment designs for roadways, access drives, and parking facilities in compliance with AASHTO and local DOT standards.

• Review and interpret boundary/topographic surveys, geotechnical reports, and utility mapping to establish design baselines.
• Assist in the preparation of drainage reports, stormwater management plans, and water quality calculations.
• Coordinate with team members, sub-consultants, and clients to ensure design intent is accurately executed in construction documents.

• Ensure designs comply with local zoning ordinances, municipal land-use codes, ADA requirements, and environmental regulations.
• Assist in preparing submittal packages for local, county, and state regulatory agencies (e.g., zoning boards, environmental protection agencies, DOTs).
• Address plan-check comments and coordinate revisions required for project approval.
