You will serve as the premier authority on welding quality, ensuring every fabricated component meets the highest industry standards. This role gives you the platform to safeguard project integrity and influence safety on major mechanical installations. You will work alongside a collaborative team of experts who value precision, respect, and your professional growth.
How You Will Make An Impact- Perform rigorous visual inspections of welds and fabricated components to guarantee structural compliance.
- Verify daily adherence to AWS, ASME, and your specific project quality specifications.
- Review and approve welding procedures, personnel qualifications, and essential quality documentation.
- Conduct precise quality audits throughout all fabrication and construction phases.
- Coordinate seamlessly with project managers, welders, and clients regarding technical quality expectations.
- Prepare detailed inspection reports and maintain meticulous, audit-ready quality assurance records.
- Resolve welding quality challenges and manage the correction of non-conformance items efficiently.
- Current, active AWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) certification
- Solid working knowledge of AWS D1.1 and applicable industrial piping codes
- Proven ability to read and interpret complex welding symbols, blueprints, and engineering data
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel to various job sites as needed
- Minimum of 2 years of dedicated welding inspection experience
- Demonstrated experience handling complex mechanical installations and pipe fabrication quality control
- Strong communication skills for resolving quality issues with field personnel and clients
