Construction Labor & Trades, Installation Technician, Carpentry, Building Maintenance
Ashbrook Doors is looking for a dependable, hardworking person to join our installation team as a Door Installer, with the opportunity to grow into a Lead Installer position.
We specialize in high-end residential door replacements, including custom iron doors, fiberglass entry doors, double doors, oversized doors, and other specialty door systems. Our work is performed in customers’ homes, so quality, cleanliness, attention to detail, and professionalism matter just as much as working hard.
You do NOT need to already know how to install doors. We are willing to train the right person. Construction, finish carpentry, remodeling, window/door installation, or similar experience is a plus, but work ethic, dependability, and willingness to learn are more important.
You’ll work alongside experienced installers and learn our entire door replacement process, including:
- Removing existing doors and frames
- Preparing and waterproofing openings
- Installing and leveling new door systems
- Insulating, caulking, and sealing
- Interior and exterior trim work
- Basic painting and finish work
- Installing and adjusting hardware
- Protecting customers’ homes and keeping jobsites extremely clean
- Loading and unloading doors, tools, and materials
- Proper use and care of tools and equipment
Some of the doors we install are large and extremely heavy, so you must be comfortable with physical work and regularly lifting and carrying heavy materials as part of a crew.
TRAVELYou must be willing and able to travel a decent amount for work.
We work throughout Northern Utah and Southern Utah, as well as Colorado. We also travel to Idaho and Washington State for projects, although less frequently.
Some projects require overnight and multi-day travel.
When we travel, you get your own hotel room. We don’t make employees share rooms, and we stay in clean, nice hotels. We want our crews comfortable and well-rested when they’re working away from home.
If traveling regularly for work is going to be a problem, this position will not be a good fit.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FORWe’re looking for someone who:
- Shows up on time and is dependable
- Works hard without needing to be constantly watched
- Takes pride in doing things correctly
- Pays attention to small details
- Is comfortable working with tools
- Can communicate professionally around homeowners
- Keeps a clean and organized jobsite
- Is willing to learn and take feedback
- Wants to learn a skilled trade and become more valuable over time
- Has a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Is willing and able to travel regularly for projects
This is not just a helper position.
Ashbrook Doors is growing, and we’re looking for someone who wants to grow with the company. You’ll start working alongside our experienced installers, learn our installation process and quality standards, and take on more responsibility as your skills improve.
For the right person, the goal is to develop you into a Lead Installer capable of running installations and eventually leading a crew.
As your skills, responsibility, and performance increase, so will your opportunity and pay.
We’re looking for someone who wants to become genuinely good at this trade — not someone who just needs a paycheck for a few weeks.
If you’re looking for an easy job where you can stand around, be on your phone, and collect a paycheck, this probably isn’t the right fit.
If you’re dependable, take pride in your work, don’t mind traveling, want to learn a valuable trade, and want the opportunity to eventually run installations yourself, we’d like to talk to you.
