As the Laundry Operations Supervisor, you will manage the day to day functioning of the residential and guest laundry, dry cleaning and valet services to deliver high quality service and maintain the reputation of the resort.
Key Responsibilities- Quality Assurance & Inspection:
Counter check all processed items to ensure they are spotlessly clean, damage free, and properly pressed before delivery. - Operational Leadership:
Supervise daily laundry, dry cleaning, and valet activities, organize work schedules and conduct daily briefings to align the team on guest priorities and VIP requirements. - Guest Request Fulfillment:
Ensure meticulous adherence to specific guest instructions, such as light starch, specific folding techniques or urgent service timelines. - Financial & Administrative Control:
Record guest charges in the Opera Property Management System, manage inventory for chemicals and supplies, and assist with departmental performance reports. - Safety & Maintenance:
Check machinery (filters, press covers) for defects and ensure staff use all equipment and cleaning chemicals safely. - Team Development:
Train staff in LQA (Luxury Quality Assessment) standards and mentor on high end textile care and spotting procedures.
- Experience:
Minimum 3 years in luxury laundry operations, at least 1 year in a supervisory role; pre opening experience is mandatory. - Technical
Skills:
Proficiency in the Opera system and Microsoft Office; deep knowledge of textiles, laundry chemicals and stain removal techniques. - Education:
Post secondary education or a degree in Hospitality/Business Administration is preferred. - Core Attributes:
Impeccable grooming, high attention to detail and the ability to maintain a calm, gracious presence under pressure in a fast paced environment.
- Understanding of ultra luxury guest expectations and brand alignment.
- Experience in project coordination, scheduling and document control during pre opening stages.
- Proactive, anticipatory approach with strong sense of ownership and accountability.
- Impeccable grooming and personal presentation aligned with luxury standards.
