Position

The Laboratory Technician will be responsible for performing routine and advanced laboratory analyses to support biosolids demonstration activities, nutrient monitoring, soil characterization, and leachate quality assessment. The primary project location is Al Badaa, Tabuk Region, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Requirements

Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Environmental Science, Soil Science, Agricultural Science, or a related laboratory field.

5–8 years of experience in environmental or agricultural laboratories, including soil, biosolids, or wastewater analysis.

Key Responsibilities

Responsible for performing routine and advanced laboratory analyses to support biosolids demonstration activities, nutrient monitoring, soil characterization, and leachate quality assessment. Duties include (but are not limited to):

  • Conducting nitrogen, phosphorus, carbon, pH, and alkalinity testing on biosolids, soils, and leachate samples.
  • Preparing standard solutions, reagents, and weekly colorimetric standards as per SOPs.
  • Developing and maintaining calibration curves for analytical equipment.
  • Conducting fertilizer nutrient composition testing and monitoring nutrient recovery trends.
  • Ensuring proper sample collection, transportation, preservation, and documentation for soil, biosolid, and leachate samples.
  • Operating, calibrating, and maintaining laboratory instruments including pH meters, spectrophotometers, incubators, and digestion units.
  • Implementing QA/QC procedures, including blanks, duplicates, and control standards.
  • Maintaining laboratory housekeeping, inventory, and chemical safety compliance.
  • Supporting data recording, data validation, and weekly reporting for Client employees and technical consultants.
  • Ensuring all analyses follow approved project protocols, SOPs, and required standards.
