The Role

As a HVAC Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising and overseeing the maintenance, repair, and installation of all heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems across the property. You will manage a team of HVAC technicians, ensuring that all HVAC systems are functioning at optimal efficiency and in compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and the highest operational standards. Your role is vital to ensuring the comfort and satisfaction of our guests while minimizing energy consumption and operational costs.

Key Areas of Responsibilities

Please note that the responsibilities outlined below are not exhaustive. Red Sea Global Hospitality employees continuously innovate in caring for the needs of the business, their guests, and their colleagues. As a HVAC Supervisor you will need to:

  • Supervise, lead, and train a team of HVAC technicians to ensure efficient operation, maintenance, and repair of all HVAC systems within the property.
  • Plan, schedule, and execute preventive and corrective maintenance for HVAC equipment, including air conditioning units, refrigeration systems, ventilation, and heating equipment.
  • Ensure all HVAC systems are operating at maximum efficiency, minimizing energy consumption while maintaining optimal comfort levels throughout the property.
  • Perform regular inspections and testing of HVAC systems to identify faults, plan repairs, and prevent breakdowns.
  • Lead troubleshooting efforts for HVAC system issues, ensuring problems are resolved in a timely and cost effective manner.
  • Oversee the installation, commissioning, and calibration of new HVAC systems and equipment, ensuring all installations meet operational and safety standards.
  • Monitor HVAC system performance and recommend upgrades, replacements, or modifications to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance guest comfort.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental regulations, including managing refrigerant use, waste disposal, and system maintenance in a sustainable manner.
  • Maintain accurate records of HVAC maintenance activities, including service reports, repairs, inventory levels, and energy consumption data.
  • Manage the HVAC team's daily activities, including coordinating tasks, providing technical support, and ensuring safe working practices.
  • Assist in managing the HVAC budget, ensuring costs are controlled and supplies are ordered as needed to maintain operations.
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure that HVAC systems do not disrupt hotel operations and guest services.
  • Provide guidance and support for troubleshooting and resolving complex HVAC system problems.
  • Ensure that all HVAC equipment is regularly cleaned, maintained, and tested in line with manufacturer guidelines.
  • Monitor and evaluate the team's performance, providing feedback and identifying training or development needs.
  • Prepare and submit regular reports to the Engineering Manager on HVAC performance, maintenance schedules, and any ongoing or upcoming issues.
  • Ensure the availability of necessary tools, materials, and spare parts to support efficient HVAC operations and prevent delays.
  • Lead emergency response efforts in the event of HVAC system failures, ensuring minimal disruption to guest comfort and hotel operations.
  • Assist in energy saving initiatives, such as optimizing HVAC settings, implementing efficient system controls, and identifying areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with other departments to provide technical assistance and ensure HVAC systems are aligned with the property's overall operational needs.
  • Perform any other duties required to ensure the smooth operation of the engineering department and maintain guest comfort.
