Bookkeeper

Description

Robert Half is seeking a skilled Bookkeeper to join our client in Tacoma on a contract basis. In this role, you will support daily accounting operations and ensure financial data accuracy for a dynamic, growing business.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Maintain accurate records of financial transactions (AP, AR, general ledger entries)

+ Process invoices, payments, and bank deposits

+ Reconcile bank and credit card statements

+ Prepare month-end and year-end financial reports

+ Assist with payroll processing and related recordkeeping

+ Support audit preparation and respond to internal or external inquiries

+ Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting best practices

Requirements

Qualifications:

+ 2+ years of bookkeeping experience, ideally in a professional office environment

+ Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Quick Books, Microsoft Excel)

+ Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

+ Ability to work independently and meet deadlines

+ Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
