The Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely processing of invoices
, maintaining strong vendor relationships
, supporting month-end close activities
, and driving continuous process improvements within the Finance team.
- Process high-volume invoices accurately and efficiently
- Review and match invoices to purchase orders
, receipts, and supporting documentation - Verify approvals and ensure compliance with internal controls
, company policies, and procedures - Research and resolve invoice discrepancies
, payment issues
, and vendor inquiries - Monitor aging invoices and proactively manage payment deadlines
- Perform vendor statement reconciliations and resolve outstanding items
- Assist with month-end close activities and account reconciliations
- Support annual audits by preparing documentation and responding to audit requests
- Assist with financial reporting and accounts payable analysis as needed
- Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate expense reporting and payment processing
- Provide exceptional customer service to vendors and internal stakeholders
- Identify and implement process improvements that increase efficiency, accuracy, and compliance
- Support continuous improvement initiatives within the Finance department
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field OR a minimum of 3 years of Accounts Payable experience in a high-volume environment
- Strong knowledge of accounts payable
, invoice processing
, and account reconciliations - Experience working with ERP systems or accounting software
- Strong organizational
, analytical
, and problem-solving skills - Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and consistently meet deadlines

- Experience with Infor FSM
, EAM
, ABBYY Vantage
, or similar ERP platforms - Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
, including VLOOKUP

, formulas, filters, and data analysis - Experience supporting month-end close and audit preparation
- Familiarity with electronic invoice workflows
, invoice automation
, and paperless AP systems - Experience in transportation

The salary range for this position is $35,844 to $62,830 annually
