As a Senior Tax Accountant (salary range $80,000-$90,000, minimum of 2+ years of public tax accounting experience), you will:
- Prepare personal, trust, estate and business tax returns, including the most complex
- Act as a resource for tax staff
- Prepare tax estimates and becomes involved in planning for less complex clients
- Analyze IRS notices and draft responses
- Contribute to the client service team by producing quality work with quick turnaround and attentive service
- Engage in firm committees by contributing ideas and feedback to support the firm's strategic objectives. Participate actively in firm initiatives.
- Establish good working relationships with all Shareholders and staff members

- 40-hour work week except for busy season – max of 50 hours (Feb-Apr)
- 5 weeks compensated time off (CTO) annually; paid holidays

A bachelor’s or master’s degree in accounting or other closely related field. 2+ years of public tax accounting.
- CPA license (preferred, but not required)
- Strong team mindset, adaptability skills and ability to identify and make efficiency improvements
- Ability to communicate clearly in writing and verbally
- Ability to multitask with multiple projects
- Highly motivated, driven and takes initiative
- Willing to learn, open to feedback and recognize contributions from others
- Ability to use good judgement and intuition amongst everyday interactions with staff and clients.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers and clients
- Demonstrate critical and analytical thinking skills
- Meet deadlines by setting priorities with work projects
- Proficiency using tax software, trial balance, Excel, Word and Outlook (CCH products a plus)
