This position is mid to advanced level performing specialized processes relating to the areas of receipting, school accounting process, banking processes and other tasks as assigned in support of the processes within the Treasurer's Office. Work involves considerable contact with a variety of county staff, with other government agencies, with public and private officials, and with the citizens of Whitman County who depend on the accuracy and quality of the work performed.

Work requires the operation of office equipment such as computer terminals, typewriters, telephones, and calculators, where both speed and accuracy are necessary to contribute to the proper office operations.

• One (1) year of progressively increased knowledge and responsibility in the areas of clerical, bookkeeping, or accounting experience as applicable to the work of the position.
