Accounting Clerk

We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to support the day-to-day accounting and administrative functions of a busy finance department. This position will assist with accounts payable, accounts receivable, data entry, reconciliations, and general accounting support.

Responsibilities:

• Process and enter accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
• Review invoices for accuracy, coding, approvals, and supporting documentation
• Assist with vendor payments, check runs, and payment processing
• Enter customer payments and maintain accurate receivable records
• Reconcile bank statements, vendor statements, and general ledger accounts
• Maintain organized accounting records and supporting documentation
• Assist with invoice matching, purchase orders, and expense reports
• Research and resolve billing, payment, and account discrepancies
• Communicate with vendors, customers, and internal departments regarding accounting questions
• Assist with month-end and year-end close activities
• Support payroll, billing, collections, or other accounting functions as needed
• Prepare basic reports and spreadsheets using Microsoft Excel
• Assist with filing, scanning, data entry, and general administrative duties
• Provide additional support to the accounting and finance team as needed
