Bookkeeper

Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to support day-to-day financial operations for a Contract position based in Fife, Washington. This role is ideal for someone who is comfortable managing routine accounting activities, maintaining accurate records, and keeping financial data organized in Quick Books. The successful candidate will contribute to timely transaction processing, balanced accounts, and dependable reporting across accounts payable, accounts receivable, and reconciliations.

Responsibilities:

- Record and maintain financial transactions with a high degree of accuracy in the company's bookkeeping system.

- Manage accounts payable activities by reviewing invoices, preparing payments, and keeping vendor records current.

- Oversee accounts receivable processes, including issuing invoices, tracking incoming payments, and following up on outstanding balances.

- Perform regular bank and account reconciliations to ensure financial records align with supporting documentation.

- Update and maintain Quick Books entries so that account activity is complete, organized, and audit-ready.

- Review financial data for discrepancies and resolve issues promptly to support accurate month-to-month reporting.

- Assist with preparing routine financial summaries and supporting documentation for internal review.

- Help maintain orderly records and documentation to support compliance and efficient accounting operations. Requirements - Proven experience performing hands-on bookkeeping duties in a detail-oriented business environment.

- Practical working knowledge of Quick Books for daily transaction entry, account maintenance, and reporting.

- Experience handling both accounts payable and accounts receivable functions with accuracy and consistency.

- Ability to complete bank reconciliations and identify discrepancies in financial records.

- Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple accounting tasks effectively.

- Solid organizational and time management skills in a deadline-driven setting.

- Clear written and verbal communication skills for coordinating with internal teams and external contacts.
