Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Position SummaryThe Medical Records Clerk executes all aspects of OSS Medical Records Management procedures and performs clerical tasks to support the billing office.
Key Responsibilities- Fulfill medical records requests in a timely and HIPAA‑compliant manner, including assessing and collecting associated fees.
- Order office supplies on a regular schedule and submit purchase orders.
- Sort and organize returned mail.
- Prepare and post outgoing mail, receive, sort, and distribute incoming mail.
- Add new referring providers to Raintree following established protocol.
- Scan documents into Raintree promptly and accurately.
- Prepare and complete weekly bank deposits.
- Scan and mail refund checks.
- Obtain updated mailing addresses for reissuing refund checks.
- Add returned, unclaimed checks to the unclaimed property report.
- Perform other duties as needed to support billing office operations.
- Must have strong proficiency in standard office software, including Adobe, Excel, Word, and Outlook.
