Tacoma Nursing and Rehabilitation is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Assistant Business Office Manager to support the Business Office Manager in overseeing the daily operations for a successful and smooth collection process for our business office. This role plays a key part in ensuring efficient billing and accounting are carried out in compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and organizational policies.

Education, Experience, andLicensure/Certification s
- High school graduate or equivalent. Associate's degree or equivalent experience preferred
- One (1) year in post-acute care or other geriatric-related field preferred
- PCC (Point Click Care) experience preferred but not required
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Teams, and E-mail
- Ability to implement and interpret the programs, goals, objectives, policies, and procedures of the business office
- Make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action
- Knowledgeable of administration practices and procedures as well as the laws, regulations, and guidelines governing administration functions in the post-acute care facility
- Implement and interpret the programs, goals, objectives, policies, and procedures of the administration department
- Perform proficiently in all competency areas including but not limited to general business office responsibilities, cash receipts and billing, patient rights, and safety and sanitation
- Maintains confidentiality of all proprietary and/or confidential information
- Understand and follow company policies including harassment and compliance procedures
- Displays integrity and professionalism by adhering to our organization's Code of Conduct and completes mandatory Code of Conduct and other appropriate compliance training
- Assist with effective management and oversight of bookkeeping functions including posting payments and charges to patient ledgers, balance daily receipts, collecting delinquent accounts.
- Maintain Resident Trust Checking Accounts.
- Exhibit excellent customer service and a positive attitude towards patients
- Assist in the evacuation of patients
- Demonstrate dependable, regular attendance
- Concentrate and use reasoning skills and good judgment
- Communicate and function productively in an interdisciplinary team
- Read, write, speak, and understand the English language
- Reviews payment policies and procedures with new admissions and their responsible parties
- Establish and maintain financial files for all residents related to admission, billing, and collection of accounts receivable in accordance with regulatory
- Document business office collections on an ongoing basis
- Administer the resident trust account and petty cash - Reconcile petty cash monthly
- Bank Deposits and daily mail
- Assist with answering the phone
- All other duties as assigned
Full-time
Pay$22.00 - $28.00 per hour
