Smart Hire is looking for a Construction Estimator to join a client in Fife, WA. This is full time, direct hire and fully onsite. The ideal candidate will have 1+ years as a Estimator within the Construction or Building Materials Industry, strong technical skills to include Excel, thrives in a fast paced environment and looking for growth opportunity.

Location: Fife, WA
Salary: $50k-$65k + benefits + PTO, 401k, growth and advancement
Schedule: M-F flex start between 6am - 8am - 8 hours a day - fully onsite - potential hybrid

Position Overview
We're looking for a detail-oriented and motivated Estimator to join our team in Fife, WA. In this role, you'll be responsible for reviewing blueprints, performing material take-offs, preparing accurate estimates, and supporting construction projects from bid to shipment. You'll work closely with estimating, sales, and operations teams to help ensure projects move smoothly and customers receive exceptional service.
Key Responsibilities
Estimating & Project Support
• Perform accurate and timely blueprint take-offs for construction projects
• Prepare and enter estimates into tracking systems
• Track shipments and verify products shipped match invoiced materials
• Coordinate and lead shipping meetings for awarded projects
• Maintain bid pipeline and manage workload backlog efficiently
• Assist in identifying potential project opportunities and support business growth efforts
Team Collaboration & Customer Service
• Work closely with sales, administrative, and operations teams to ensure project accuracy and communication
• Support customers by providing timely updates and information
• Help maintain strong relationships with vendors, customers, and internal teams
• Contribute to a positive, productive, and team-focused work environment
Additional Responsibilities
• Follow company policies, procedures, and safety standards
• Support a workplace culture where safety is the top priority
• Travel as needed to support project and job responsibilities
Qualifications & Skills
Required Qualifications
• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Minimum of 1 year of estimating experience in construction, building materials, or a related industry
• Ability to read and interpret complex blueprints and construction documents
• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word
• Strong math and analytical skills
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
