The Netflix Art Studio helps stories engage their audiences through the creation of premiere visual, video, and motion graphics on the global Netflix platform. Our mission is to transform how short‑form content is produced and delivered, exploring new ways for Netflix viewers or press subscribers to discover fresh or classic stories through innovative visual design, motion and audio storytelling.
We are searching for a Fine Artist to join our team, creating key creative and print assets for film, TV, games, music, or entertainment.
Role SummaryAs an Artist, your core duty is to design and deliver high‑quality digital artwork, lead a small team of junior artists, and collaborate with internal architects, motion designers, editors, and producers to create engaging artwork for Netflix’s global product ecosystem. The artwork you produce will appear on‑platform (TV, mobile, web) and may also be used for out‑of‑home advertising.
Responsibilities- Produce, ideate, conceptualize, and execute artwork independently without external assistance.
- Balance quality, creativity, and project priorities. Develop and implement efficient creative processes.
- Lead projects, artists, and timelines from ideation to delivery.
- Oversee title art while contributing to cross‑functional initiatives with asynchronous demands.
- Build solid relationships with internal stakeholders, creative partners, and vendors to provide creative feedback and design direction.
- Contribute ideas and improvements for innovative design within products and processes.
- Use real‑time data and technology to inform creative decisions.
- Proactively anticipate and address challenges, researching new technologies and adapting to environmental changes.
- 2+ years experience in a creative environment (office or in‑house) at a tech, entertainment, or consumer brand.
- Expertise in Photoshop and Illustrator; motion design skills are optional.
- Additional skills in traditional media such as canvas, painting, photography, etc., are a plus.
- Experience working in a fast‑paced, high‑volume setting with multiple complex projects.
- Proven ability to create and lead high‑impact creative work (portfolio required).
- Mastery of all stages of creative production in a digital, out‑of‑home, product‑oriented, or client‑driven environment.
- Passion for data‑driven, quantifiable creative work.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Self‑motivated and able to work autonomously.
- Understanding, support, and embodiment of the organization’s values and team objectives.
- Enthusiastic about entertainment, film, and TV.
- Curious about innovation and comfortable adapting to new tools.
