Based on our internal equity review process, the starting salary for this position will be $17.13. The current full hourly range for this position is $17.13 - $17.62
Come work on Puget Sound and join the team at Point Defiance Marina! Located on the water in the heart of Point Defiance Park, the marina has been serving Tacoma’s recreational boating community for over 100 years. Point Defiance Marina hosts nearly 300 tenants who house their boats in the facility, as well as a convenience, tackle, and souvenir shop. This position will perform a variety of duties related to the operation and maintenance of the Point Defiance Marina including but not limited to:
- Complete retail sales of boating and fishing equipment, fuel, bait, boat rentals, and gift items.
- Maintain cleanliness and overall appearance of sales floor.
- Operate boat lift system to launch and retrieve both tenant and rental boats.
- Sell Washington state fishing & hunting licenses.
- Operate marine fuel pumps.
- Accept tenant payments for boat storage.
- Provide information to the public.
- Perform general cleaning of boats, equipment, and facilities.
- Other related duties as assigned.
This a Seasonal position working up to 40 hours/week, up to 6 months.

Position InformationProvide a high level of customer service to patrons during a variety of events, programs, and rentals. Customer Service Assistants also responsible for providing assistance to Recreation participants and security for the facility.
