Position: Installer/Trainer - Full Time

Overview

This position requires candidates to live and work in Tacoma, Washington or immediate surrounding area.

Pay Range: Hourly + Piece Rate

  • $12.22 to $19.52 (Based on location and experience)

Current Piece Rate (Additional compensation for completed installation):

  • $25 per successful installation
  • $25 per successful priority service call
  • $15 per successful service call

Sorenson Communications, LLC offers Video Relay Service (VRS), which gives Deaf and hard-of-hearing people the option to communicate in their preferred language—ASL or spoken English or Spanish. Sorenson also provides onsite and remote interpreting services between English and various other world languages.

Caption Call, LLC offers Internet protocol captioned telephone service (IP CTS) using advanced technology and a captioning agent to quickly provide written captions of what callers say on a large, easy-to-read screen.

Job Summary

Caption Call is looking for a caring, customer service-oriented installer/trainer with a passion for helping people with hearing loss communicate with the world. This hands-on position is responsible for enriching lives by installing the Caption Call phone for customers and training them how to use it to communicate over the telephone with confidence. The schedule is flexible and it is a part-time position with potential for career growth and advancement.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Install and troubleshoot Caption Call phones in customers  homes
  • Train customers on how to use the phone and its features
  • Promote the Caption Call service
  • Assist with lead generation activities as needed
  • Guide other Caption Call activities and make recommendations for expanding the breadth and reach of the business
  • Meet or exceed Install/Trainer expectations and maintain goals set by department management
  • Complete service calls as assigned
  • Accurately maintain customer records
  • Submit required reports and feedback on customer interactions
  • Retrieve and clean phones of former customers
  • Maintain adequate inventory of equipment and supplies
  • Represent Caption Call at events as assigned
  • Adhere to strict compliance policies
  • Maintain confidentiality of highly sensitive customer information
  • Adapt to new responsibilities as necessary
  • Other duties as assigned
Education

Minimum:
High School Diploma or GED

Knowledge,

Skills and Abilities
  • Provide excellent customer service
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English (reading, writing, speaking, listening)
  • Ability to work evenings and weekends as needed
  • Ability to drive and travel as needed
  • Ability to tailor to unique needs of individual customers
  • Reliable, organized and punctual
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to adapt to changing environments
  • Experience working with senior citizens
  • Basic computer knowledge and experience
Working Conditions and

Physical Requirements
  • Daily driving required; reliable, licensed, and insured vehicle available
  • Possess and maintain a valid driver license; maintain a good driving record
  • Able to sit/stand for extended periods
  • Able to transport installation equipment into a customer s home
  • Dexterity to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, tools, and equipment
  • Regular and predictable attendance required
Supervisory Responsibility

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
