About The Role
Our growing financial institution is seeking a full time Customer Service Representative/Teller to be an integral part of our North Spokane team. The successful candidate will be friendly, enthusiastic, knowledgeable CSR/Teller with strong customer service skills. This position is responsible for providing exceptional customer service while assisting customers with a variety of banking needs. The pay range for this position is: $17.13 to $24.35 per hour.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES- Process retail and commercial checking and savings deposits by determining that all necessary deposit documents are in proper form.
- Cash checks, savings withdrawals and make cash advances; confirm all necessary documents are properly authorized, are in proper form and are within authorized limits; make decisions when questionable items are presented for cashing.
- Operate computer terminal or personal computer to process account activity, determine balances, and resolve problems.
- Assist with night depository duties; log, bag, process deposits; make change orders; issue receipts and return bags to customers.
- Cross‑sell the Bank’s other products and services, referring customers to appropriate staff as indicated.
- Issue cashier’s checks.
- Perform safe deposit duties by controlling access and assisting customers.
- Receive and process stop payment and hold orders.
- Accept loan payments.
- Balance cash drawer daily and verify cash being returned to the vault.
- Provide effective customer service and assist in resolving problems within given authority.
- Maintain records and logs; prepare wire transfers, and sort mail or reports as required.
- Answer telephones and direct callers to proper Bank personnel.
- May gather data and process various reports (e.g., currency transaction, returned items, overdrafts, monthly audit reports, monthly audit certifications, etc.).
- Process traveler’s checks, ATM deposits, change orders and deposit slip corrections.
- May assist in opening and closing the vault daily; assist in balancing vault currency and coin.
- Copy/scan/fax documents to files and distribute to appropriate personnel.
- Education and Experience
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Cash Handling Experience Preferred
- Customer Service Experience Preferred

- Must have the ability to work in a professional and confidential manner.
- Basic ten‑key skills.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.
- Professional verbal communication skills.

- Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure.
- Ability to consistently be at work during scheduled shifts.
Must be able to routinely perform work indoors in a climate‑controlled shared work area with moderate noise level.

Must be able to work extended hours or travel off site whenever required or requested by management. Must be capable of regular, reliable and timely attendance.
