Dental Assistant — General Practice

Three days per week :
Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday

We are a single-doctor general practice looking to add a second dental assistant to our close-knit team. If you are experienced, skilled, and ready to be part of something — not just fill a chair — this position may be exactly what you have been looking for.

Three focused days per week. You will work directly alongside the dentist on the full range of general dentistry: restorative, extractions, hygiene support, and more. Our patients are loyal and long-established; they appreciate care that is personal and unhurried.

This role also includes cross-training at the front desk. When the office manager is busy or out, you will answer phones, schedule appointments, take messages, accept payments, and manage voicemail and email. We are a small office. Everyone covers for everyone.

This one matters as much as clinical skill, so we are going to be direct about it.

We believe dentistry improves lives. A diagnostic X-ray is not an inconvenience — it is how we find what we need to treat. A treatment plan is not a burden on the patient — it is an opportunity to make their mouth, their smile, and their health better than it was before. We are looking for an assistant who shares that view and brings it to every appointment.

We are also looking for someone who sees the whole practice as their responsibility — not just their operatory. That means taking out all the trash, not just your corner. Cleaning up without being asked. When there is a gap between patients, that is time to do something that makes the practice better, not time to check out early.

• You have solid chairside experience and take X-rays with confidence, not apology.

• You handle infection control and sterilization at the optimal level.
• You are comfortable at a front desk — phones, scheduling, payments, and patient communication do not intimidate you.

• Minimum 1 years of chairside dental assisting experience
• Front desk functions: phones, scheduling software, payment processing – must be willing to train
• X-ray certification Required
